Turning Off Battery Optimization for ReadiSync on Android Tablets

Updated over a week ago

Android devices include a built-in battery optimization feature that limits the activity of apps running in the background. While this helps extend battery life, it can interfere with Bluetooth functionality, which is essential for syncing with ReadiSync. In some cases, the system may delay or block Bluetooth scanning, preventing a successful sync.

To ensure ReadiSync works reliably, follow the steps below. Note: The exact names and locations of settings may vary slightly depending on your device model and Android version.

Steps to Disable Battery Optimization for ReadiSync

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android tablet.

  2. Navigate to Battery or Device Care (the name may differ depending on the device).

  3. Make sure Battery Saver is turned off.

Battery Saver may restrict background processes, which can interfere with ReadiSync.

  4. Tap Battery Manager (or a similar option).

  5. Look for Restricted Apps.

  6. Make sure ReadiSync is not listed among the restricted apps.

If it is, remove it from the restricted list to allow full background operation.
