Discover sleep’s impact on your fatigue.

There are many ways to track your sleep, but Readi shows you what really matters: the impact your sleep is having on your performance during your waking hours. Sleep impacts both your mental effectiveness and your reaction time. Based on US Army Research: Researchers at the US Army spent 25 years developing a model to predict sleep’s impacts on fatigue. Readi gives you exclusive access to this model to help you perform at your best.

Understanding ReadiOne

Logging In For The First Time

The first time a user logs into ReadiOne they will need to “Register With Organization” where they will be prompted to enter in a specific code. This is a six digit code provided by your organization. Once the code has been accepted, a user will be asked to enter in their name, email address, set up login (create a password or connect via single sign-on) and accept the terms and conditions.

Note: An activation pin is provided by your organization or after agreeing to terms & conditions. Please enter it when prompted.

Using ReadiOne

After logging into ReadiOne a user will be able to view and enter past sleeps as well as review their current ReadiScore on the homepage.

  1. Enter Sleep Manually - If you need to enter sleep manually, you can!

Note: Modify or add any sleep would be possible only when permitted.

  2. Reviewing your sleep history - At any time a user can review their past sleep history.

  3. Your ReadiScore - if a user has the appropriate number of sleeps in the system either entered manually or synced via the ReadiWatch they will be able to see their personalized ReadiScore curve showing them an hourly estimate of their fatigue risk.

  4. Your Fatigue Alerts - If at any time during a shift a user’s ReadiScore drops below or is forecasted to drop below your defined fatigue risk threshold, the user and their supervisor can receive a “Fatigue Alert”. Fatigue Alerts can be toggled on/off in the system settings or from the home screen.

  5. Shifts - A user in ReadiOne can quickly and easily see the shift they are currently working as well as their upcoming shifts.

  6. Settings - ReadiOne has a full settings section allowing a user to personalize the application. Important settings include:

    • My Account - Summary of information about a user’s account, including name, email, username, manage password tools, and your company.

    • Goals - Place to store sleep quantity, calories and steps/day goals.

    • Personal Stats - Birthday, sex, height and weight.

    • Fatigue Alerts - Toggle alerts on and off.

    • Usage Reminders - Enable reminders for a user to put on their ReadiWatch and sync at specific times of the day.

    • Smart time zone - Uses the location of the phone to determine sunrise an sunset data to improve the ReadiScore.

    • Time Format - 12h or 24h.

    • Device - The connected device that is tracking the user’s sleep.

    • Help - A series of troubleshooting and help options.

ReadiScores

Your ReadiScore is a prediction of your cognitive fatigue at a point in time.

Past, present, or future. ReadiScores range from 0 to 100, with 100 indicating your peak alertness. Cognitive fatigue refers to your ability to solve problems, make decisions, communicate, react quickly and avoid microsleeps. he ReadiScore indicates the predicted impact of fatigue on 3 factors fundamental to both safety and productivity of operators: 1) cognitive effectiveness, 2) reaction time, and 3) lapse index.

ReadiScores are derived from the SAFTE™ Biomathematical Fatigue Model, widely regarded by industry experts as the world’s most accurate and robust fatigue model. The SAFTE™ Biomathematical Model was developed by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research at the US Army with over 25 years and US $37M in research.

The SAFTE™ Model has been validated extensively, including by the US Federal Aviation Administration (US FAA) and US Department of Transportation (US DoT), and it is the foundation to all of Fatigue Science’s products, including FAST®, a legacy roster modeling application, and ReadiAnalytics, its successor. The US Air Force is one of the original users of the SAFTE™ Model, and continues to use the model to ensure the safety and effectiveness of high-profile flight operations.

Inputs to the SAFTE™ Model include actual or estimated personal sleep data for each of the 10 days preceding a given day’s fatigue predictions, as well as circadian factors, such as time zones and the local sunrise and sunset times on each of the days in question. Sleep data includes the quantity of restorative sleep, as well as its quality, as defined by interruptions in the restorative sleep, and timing of sleep onset and wake. The cumulative impact and interaction of all of the above factors is comprehensively analyzed by SAFTE™ in the course of making a fatigue prediction.

The raw output of SAFTE™ is an hour-by-hour predicted fatigue level, quantified as the “ReadiScore'' on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 indicating the most severe fatigue and 100 indicating peak alertness. Based on the research and validation by the US Army, US FAA, and US DoT, the ReadiScore indicates the predicted impact of fatigue on 3 factors fundamental to both safety and productivity of operators: 1) cognitive effectiveness, 2) reaction time, and 3) lapse index.

Cognitive Effectiveness

Is a measure of mental performance on a variety of objective tests (e.g. memory, communication, computation, etc.); it is measured on a percentage decrement basis as compared to one’s baseline performance in a fully rested state (e.g. at a ReadiScore of 70, one’s cognitive performance is predicted to be 30% lower than one would experience at a score of 100).

Reaction Time

Is a measure of the time it takes an individual to respond to a stimulus; it is measured on a percentage increment basis, as compared to one’s baseline performance in a fully rested state (e.g. at a ReadiScore of 70, one’s reaction time is predicted to be 43% slower than at a score of 100).

Lapse Index

Is a measure of the likelihood to experience a “lapse”, i.e. momentarily “zoning out” in such a way that a stimulus is missed entirely. It is measured as a multiple of one’s likelihood of this occurring in a fully rested state (e.g. at a ReadiScore of 70, one’s lapse index is predicted to be 5.2x higher than at a score of 100).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear my ReadiWatch in the shower?

The ReadiWatch is NOT suitable for showering, swimming or surfing. The soap and water pressure from the shower might cause long term damages to the watch.

Do I have to wear my ReadiWatch all the time?

Since the ReadiWatch is for capturing sleep, you must wear it at least 5 minutes before bed and 5 minutes after waking up. However, we do recommend wearing it throughout the day to know your ReadiScore.

How do I charge my ReadiWatch?

You should have received a charging cable with your ReadiWatch. Connect the USB side to any UBS compatible outlets, and the other side to the back of the watch. The side that attaches to the back of the watch has a magnetic connection that ensures you are connecting in correct position. The battery should last 10+ days depending on your usage of the watch.

What happens to my ReadiScore if I have a nap?

All periods detected as sleep periods, including naps, are factored into your ReadiScore.

When I take off my ReadiWatch, how should I store it?

If you take off your watch, store it on a flat surface, where it won't detect false movement like bumps or vibrations.
