ReadiWatch Pairing and Synchronization with ReadiSync for Android

Learn how to review permissions and resolve pairing or synchronization issues between a ReadiWatch and ReadiSync on Android devices.

Warning: Do not unpair the ReadiWatch through ReadiSync or perform a factory reset to resolve a synchronization issue. These actions will permanently delete any data stored on the watch that has not yet been synchronized.

Note: Menu names and locations may vary depending on the manufacturer and Android version. If you cannot find an option, refer to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your phone or tablet.

1. Check the ReadiWatch

Confirm that:

  • The watch has sufficient battery power.

  • The watch turns on and responds normally.

  • The watch is near the tablet.

  • Airplane Mode is disabled on your ReadiWatch.

    • From the Home screen, swipe left, swipe up, tap Settings, and turn off Airplane Mode.

2. Check the Connection and ReadiSync Permissions

Confirm that the tablet:

  • Has a stable internet connection.

  • Has Bluetooth enabled.

  • Has location services or GPS enabled.

  • Has Airplane Mode disabled.

  • Has the latest version of ReadiSync installed.

Then, review the ReadiSync settings:

  1. Open Settings > Apps > ReadiSync.

  2. Under Permissions, allow access to:

    • Nearby devices or Bluetooth.

    • Location, selecting Allow only while using the app.

  3. Under Notifications, enable Allow notifications.

Important: Notifications must remain enabled. When sleep data has finished processing and the scores are ready, the system sends a notification that prompts ReadiSync to refresh and retrieve them. If notifications are disabled, the application will still refresh periodically, but the scores may take longer to appear.

3. Restart and Try Again

  1. Open ReadiSync.

  2. Select Settings > Log Out.

  3. Restart the tablet.

  4. Restart the ReadiWatch:

    • Press and hold the side button.

    • Select Power Off.

    • Press and hold the side button again to turn it on.

  5. Open ReadiSync and log in.

  6. Try pairing or synchronizing the watch again.

4. If the Previous Steps Were Unsuccessful, Try the Following:

  1. Reset the Bluetooth settings on your phone or tablet.

    • Generally, go to Settings > System > Advanced Settings > Reset Options > Reset Network Settings. Contact your device manufacturer for assistance if necessary.

  2. Uninstall the ReadiSync application.

  3. Reconnect to the internet and reinstall ReadiSync.

  4. Open ReadiSync, log in, and try to pair or synchronize again.

This will reset all previously used Bluetooth connections, Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings.

5. Send Logs to Support

If the issue continues, submit a Support request through ReadiSync before uninstalling the application:

  • Settings > Help > Contact Support

When you submit the request through ReadiSync, the application logs will be attached automatically. These logs help identify possible issues related to permissions, Bluetooth, or synchronization.

Include:

  • The ReadiWatch serial number.

  • A description of the issue.

  • The error message, if one appears.

  • The steps you have already completed.

Additional Tips

If the issue continues, review the following:

  • Update the tablet: Confirm that the latest Android version and all available updates are installed.

  • Update the ReadiWatch: Verify that the watch has the latest firmware version installed.

  • Switch connections: If you are using Wi-Fi, try mobile data. If you are using mobile data, try Wi-Fi.

  • Check Bluetooth: Confirm that the tablet can connect to another Bluetooth device, such as wireless headphones.

  • Avoid simultaneous connections: If you use more than one tablet for synchronization, move the other devices away or temporarily disable their Bluetooth.

  • Disable Battery Saver: This mode may restrict Bluetooth, location services, and ReadiSync background activity.

  • Review ReadiSync battery settings: In the application settings, select Unrestricted or Do not optimize, if available.

  • Try another tablet: If possible, install ReadiSync on another compatible device and try pairing or synchronizing again.
