Once in awhile, the Readiband may overestimate how much sleep you get. This is usually attributed to your wrist being really still before bed while you're watching TV or reading.

If this happens, there are a few ways to correct it:

  • in the Web app (for Company and Location Managers)
  • in the Readiband app (for Readiband wearers)

Editing overestimated sleep in the Web app

Company and Location Managers can make quick corrections to sleep reports to fix things like:

  • An off-wrist period mistaken for sleep
  • A previously-corrected area that's not quite right (these areas are underlined when viewing sleep reports)

As long as the data is less than 2 weeks old, given the current date and time, you can make corrections right there in the Sleep Detail page. A small green icon will indicate the data that can be corrected.

Start by going to Analyze in the Web app, selecting a user, and clicking the Detail tab near the top of the page.

The green arrow indicates the point at which edits can start being made. Click on the area of sleep, or previously-corrected area (underlined), to open the editing options.

Help our solution learn by letting us know whether the Readiband was on or off-wrist.

Editing overestimations in the Readiband app

Readiband wearers can also make edits to overestimations in their most recent night's sleep.

Here, your user can tap and hold to mark a chunk of recorded sleep as awake.

Here's an article from our Readiband wearer Help Centre that shows your users how to edit overestimated sleep.
