Mental effectiveness scores are a quantified measurement of an person's cognitive readiness. It provides insight into alertness, decision-making ability, memory consolidation, and susceptibility to injury.
Mental effectiveness is influenced by three things:
- Sleep debt (quantity of sleep)
- Sleep/wake timing (consistency of sleeping & waking relative to the body's natural pressure for sleep)
- Time of day (the influence of the circadian rhythm)
Effectiveness scores can be seen on a player’s sleep reports, or in the Analyze dashboard. The scores range from around 100 (meaning capable of performing at the highest level) to 50 or below. Scores in the 70-80 range represents the same type of performance capacity that would be observed in a person who’s consumed enough alcohol to have a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.05%.
